Alderwood Mall
Lynwood, WA

Alderwood Mall was the expansion of an existing regional shopping center from 1,050,000 square feet to 1,320,000 square feet. The mall was repositioned as the dominant, upscale mall in the northern Seattle market. This was accomplished by adding a new flagship Nordstrom store and a new 170,000 square foot open-air shopping experience, as well as a state-of-the-art movie theater and a restaurant plaza with outdoor seating. In addition, the existing mall was renovated and remerchandised to offer a tenant mix representing the finest and most desirable retailers in the country. Rick Moses lead the project team through corporate and partner approvals and through the design, bidding, leasing and start of construction. Rick negotiated the Nordstrom agreements and obtained approval of the redevelopment plan from all anchor tenants.
