Grandmaster Recorders
Los Angeles, CA

The building at 1518 N Cahuenga Blvd began as a silent movie house called the Bijou Theater in the 1920s. Years later it was turned into the beloved music recording studio, Grandmaster Recorders, which hosted some of the brightest lights in the music industry from James Brown and Stevie Wonder to Tom Petty, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and No Doubt. Now, as a way to celebrate the unique history of this building, RM/d and our partner MDM Investment Group are working together to preserve the legacy of this important entertainment hub.

Grandmaster Recorders is a modern restaurant, rooftop and bar that has transformed the original Grandmaster recording studio that was operating since 1971.

The restaurant is a celebration of Italian cuisine with a modern Australian influence that utilizes the abundance of Californian produce to ensure the highest quality.

RM/d is an owner and co-developer for this iconic Hollywood property.
